How does CdS cells work?
A CdS cell is a large area photo resistor, made by depositing doped cadmium sulfide on a ceramic substrate. The CdS cell resistance changes in proportion to the amount of visible light; this allows more or less voltage/current to appear at the input of an electronic switching circuit.
The photocell working might be based on the amount of resistance and the impact of photoelectricity. This is utilized for conversion from light to electrical energy. This happens when the connection of the battery is in the way that emitter and collector terminals are connected to the negative and positive terminals of the battery.
